چکیده

We investigate two Type-IIa Minimally Modified Gravity theories, namely VCDM and Cuscuton theories. confirm that all acceptable solutions are always for theory. However, the inverse does not hold. find allows existence of exact General Relativity (GR) with or without presence matter fields a cosmological constant. determine conditions such GR-VCDM in terms trace extrinsic curvature on which define On other hand, theory, we same set GR (such as Schwarzschild Kerr spacetimes) is compatible timelike configurations field therefore cannot be considered solutions. Nonetheless, there could exist but close enough to also show intrinsic-VCDM solutions, i.e. differ from do belong model. finally cosmology mapping between possible, generic form potential. In particular, quadratic potential this well defined giving an effective redefinition Planck mass background both

Non-minimally Coupled Modified Gravity

In this paper we consider a quintom model of dark energy with non-minimal coupling between scalar field and modified gravity which is known f(R) gravity. The Lagrangian for scalar field has been inspired by tachyonic Lagrangian in string theory. Then we obtain the equation of state (EoS), and the condition required for the model parameters when ω crosses over −1. This model shows that for havin...

3D weak lensing: Modified theories of gravity

Weak lensing (WL) promises to be a particularly sensitive probe of both the growth of large-scale structure as well as the fundamental relation between matter density perturbations and metric perturbations, thus providing a powerful tool with which we may constrain modified theories of gravity (MG) on cosmological scales. Future deep, wide-field WL surveys will provide an unprecedented opportun...

Cosmological singularities and modified theories of gravity

We consider perturbative modifications of the Friedmann equations in terms of energy density corresponding to modified theories of gravity proposed as an alternative route to comply with the observed accelerated expansion of the universe. Assuming that the present matter content of the universe is a pressureless fluid, the possible singularities that may arise as the final state of the universe...

Accelerating Universe in Modified Theories of Gravity

We study cosmologies in modified theories of gravity considering Lagrangian density f(R) which is a polynomial function of scalar curvature (R) in the Einstein-Hilbert action in vacuum. The field equation obtained from the modified action corresponding to a Robertson-Walker metric is highly non-linear and not simple enough to obtain analytic solution. Consequently we adopt a numerical technique...
